Welcome to Shooting-the-Breeze.com

A site for airgunners that like to talk about it, as much as they like to do it...

Here we hope you will find up to date information, news and reviews, and as much info as we can pack in about competition airgun shooting in the UK and indeed, around the world.
As well as information and results, we'll be posting regular articles and reviews about aspects of the sports that we find interesting.
Organisations and clubs are welcomed to add info and events to the calender, and there are facilities for members such as a discussion forum and galleries etc.

On the left you'll find links to the forum and your control panel, and the search facility.
On the right you'll find the calender, which links to a thread in the forum specific to each event.
Below you'll find the news headlines, articles, polls and recent active threads from the forum.

If you have any feedback, please let us know by clicking here.

Another great turn out today . Thank you to all , you are very much appreciated ...
Very little wind on most of the course today , which provided ideal conditions for testing your set up ready for the next couple of weekends .. My set up is fine , just the big fleshy bit behind the rifle needs tweaking ..
Mariusz was again top dog , narrowly missing the exclusive clear with only one target missed .. Close on his heels was Daz Taylor and Chris Pantling with quality 58's ... Top shooting guys ...
Thank you all once again , and hope to see you next time on Sunday 8th October ...
Scores as follows ...

Mariusz Wisniewski 59
Daz Taylor 58
Chris Pantling 58
Brian Heaps 57
Jacob Pantling 56 (JNR) PB

A nasty little breeze that could hardly be perceived was out to get us today, that coupled with six unsupported positionals saw that scores tumble, but all good practice for 2 weeks time I guess.
Brand newby Craig Roberts was solid and still newby Hayley Knights took the junior gold.
In other business, Laity was on for a win and then for some unknown reason shot a tree and subsequently lost and Ranty was solid until the first ceasefire, which bought terrible memories flooding back, causing a massive Vantrum.
Scores below.

RICHARD WOODS 56
JILL COCHRANE 56
STEVE EDMONDSON 56
ALEX LARKIN 55
JENNIE STONE 54
IAN CLARK 54
ROGER LAIT 54
RAY HAMPTON 53
CHAZZER EDMONDSON 52 (LADIES)
STEVE WILLINGHAM 52
MIKE AVERILL 52
FINN COCHRANE 51
SIMON RANT 51
JASON LOCKETT 51 (.22)
KYLE HAMPTON 51 (SPRING)
REX BENNETT 51 (SPRING)
TOM WILLINGHAM 51
DANNY ROFF 50
GILES TIBBETTS 50
WAYNE MARRIOTT 49
BILL CHAPLIN 46
DARREN KNIGHTS 43
HAYLEY KNIGHTS 40 (JUNIORS)
DARREN TAYLOR 40
STEVE MERRETT 39
TOM TAYLOR 37 (JUNIOR)
CRAIG ROBERTS 35
BRANDON ROFF 26 (JUNIORS)

Another lovely day on Berrow Hill with a fairly mild wind that switched direction often and quickly enough to cause heads to be scratched.

Adrian Tye top scored again with 54, while Stew Searle edged Perry Broad into second in recoil on count back.

Open
Adrian Tye 54
Dave Hemmings 50
Lee Malpass 47
John Holder 41
Wayne George 41

Recoil
Stew Searle 49
Perry Broad 49
Stu Hill 45

Thanks to John for the signing in, and to Adrian for helping pull the strings in.

Next Sunday will be informal practice on today’s course. If anyone is able to stay a while after, and help pull the old course in, or to come either day of the weekend and help with preparations for the Daystate, it would be much appreciated.
