Default Wendover's Paul Richardson Memorial Shoot

Wendover's Paul Richardson Memorial Shoot

Today Wendover had the Paul Richardson memorial shoot.
The shoot was well attended by club members and visitors from other clubs.
Thanks must go to them for making the trip as the weather didn’t look promising.

The course was standard HFT with 40 targets, some of which had interesting shapes and names to match. Not repeatable in such a respectable place as here.
There were some good scores on the day most notabley Rose Hudson (aka Ross Hudson)
with a 78 to win the trophy on the day. Runners up were Dave hatfield and Matt brown who had a shoot off where Matt was the winner despite Dave choosing the target and plating an easy 45 yarder PRONE . Strangely Clive Turner didn’t win anything with his springer. Perhaps his contract with the Devil has lapsed. Steve lanyman won the wenodover club seasons best average score with dave hatfield coming second with only a 17 point difference over 28 shoots.

A few Pics of the day ( Click on Thumbnail for larger pic )

Steve Lanyman doing his “I’m overjoyed” Impression with yet another trophy to add to his collection.

Rose checking the spelling is correct on last seasons trophy

Rose is overjoyed that the spelling is correct and puts a move on dave despite the operation.

Proof Dave got it correct

Other pics from the day
Dink showing how its done at North Oxon

The debriefing

The three wise men or “see no”, “hear no”, “speak no” evil?

A visiting paper puncher being instructed in the fine art of HFT

Dan H trying his best for the Doughnut trophy but only managed second place

Hopefully a good day was had by all , even the weather improved. And thanks once again to all who made the trip and took part

Or perhaps the Wendoverers have better rituals, they're definately sacrificing 24/7 up there... ...

I would just like to take this opportunity to say thanks to all those who worked so hard to set up the event.

Secondly a particularly big thank you to D Hat, not only for setting the course, but also for plating the 45 yarder in the shoot off and allowing me to be placed well above where my normal abilities usually leave me!
