Open Evening of Bell Target Shooting
Calendar: Default Calendar
My Empire of Dirt
27th September 2011
Open evening, open to all to have a go at Bell Target Shooting and Learn more about it.

On the evening of Tuesday 27th September 2011 there's a cross league and open evening again. After previous events we have been inundated with requests to do it again with lots more people wanting to come and have a go. Dependent on how many turn up, they may form some teams and have a shoot between them. A just for fun competition, well you might get a sandwich.
Some leagues have built this into there fixtures as most will have started their seasons shooting. So should be a good turn out. If you are gun less or have not got a .177 set up for 6yd, no prob you can use one of ours. We are also hoping to have some vintage springers available to try. Invitations have gone out to all the Bell Target leagues, but all are welcome from any dicipline. Several leagues are coming along.
We have also had interest from manufacturers and gun shops. We have offered them display space. The event is at the Great Barr Conservative Club, Bromford Walk, Newton Road, Great Barr, Birmingham B43 6BH, its close to M6 Junc 7 at the top of the M5 and is behind the shops on the Newton Rd. Its a very nice club. Just turn after the Pizza Express shop. All kick off about 8 to 8.30pm. More details on where the club is can be found at . Even better there is no FEES, unless you buy a few pints. Always up for one of them. So if you dont know much about Bell Target Shooting come along and have a go. There will be teams ready to take you under their wing if you want to do some more.
Just a further reminder there will be a have a go range at the Midland Game Fair 17th and 18th September 2011.

On behalf of Belltarget...

Hi All,

It turned out to be a very good night with around 80 to 90 people attending.

Many thanks to the trade stands that attended, I hope they gain valuable custom from the

night. To everyone else please go and support them.

Also thanks to Ian Winter and his cameraman for attending from BBC Midlands Today.

Sorry Ian but after 4 clean bulls they want to see more of you, may be in a competition

or two. You would be most welcome anytime even just socially. Their film will be shown

anytime from friday on. Ian will update me when and I will update you.

Many thanks to team members who helped set up the room and run the night. Also to the

ladies for the buffet.

We hope everyone enjoyed the night and will come and see us again soon, on any tuesday

Nights marked as practice on the club website are best or you can come and see a match

in progress on others, we start about 8.30pm.

There were at least 6 leagues represented on the night. Shame that the local Birmingham

League was only represented by ourselves and one other. Sign of the times and the apathy

that helping to kill the sport and nearly ended Redditch League recently.

To everyone else who did not come or could not due to distance etc. Sorry you missed a

good one, may be we will see you at Games Fairs around the country in 2012 or visit us.

We would appreciate any comments good or bad to help improve further events. ie is the

time of year right for the event etc.

Please check that the information on is correct and also join us on

See you all soon.
