I should check the aimpoints for those very steep targets but it's not an easy thing for me to test!? (Unless I climb a tree with my gun)

Totally agree doing the test is difficult thought about shooting out of the bedroom window but worried about the neighbour's response. Also, distance to ground level is minimal. Think we now have 2 views aim low or go deadon.

http://inclinometer.blogspot.com/200...reffects.html I have decided to do some extensive testing on this subject especially in relation to air rifles. I will post my results in due course.

Looking at that link for the angle cosine indicator (ACI) it appears to indicate that at a vertical angle you should range the target at only 25% of the true distance!?
So going back to the Anston target (almost vertical 15yrds) I would have to use an aimpoint for 3.5 yards. I have no idea where that would be? But I suppose I should find out!

Well I aimed into the bottom of the kill and I missed, so don't ask me!?

Having given it some thought, I guess that at 15 yards the pellet wouldn't drop at all regardless of the angle.
So aiming dead on was proved to be right. So distance has to be added to the equation too!
