Default pellet test

Field target shooters at our club have had problems getting good quality pellets. We have found that there is a big difference between same brand but different batch numbers. attached are pics of testing sesson with daystate 4.51 and jsb 4.52. Test carried out at 50 yards and the coin in the pics is a 5p. It took a long time testing different batches to achieve what we found was the best for our rifles (both steyr lg110)
In the daystate pic all groups could be covered by the 5p except three marked x.
Jsb groups which were tight are labeled sb.
What we also discovered was the slightest variation in grip or position on the bag could affect the group size.

Not being cheeky lads, were the barrels clean, thats what mine does when it needs a clean then goes back to one hole about 25 shots after the clean. I have noticed lately that lubing increases the time between cleans by about 500 shots.

HI SCOCH, The barrels where cleaned after testing with each new tin, with differant batch numbers, then about 20 shots fired. before further grouping with a differant batch. Batch number 40000010 1.4.52 was a good alround pellet in differant rifles eg daystates ripleys steyrs
