Well done Dop.

All you need now is the 2017 WHFTA title for the full set. No pressure there then!

Best thing I saw all season was Nick Hopkinson smashing it up this weekend with a 59 ex 60 with a .22. Top shooting that is. I heard Tench is moving to .25 cal next season.
Dop.
Congrats on the series!

I suppose you had to hang on at least once. The last twice you bottled it.🙂

Lol. You know its a numbers game fella. My toast had to fall jam side up at some point.
I reckon Rammy was the best performer of the year but I managed to stuff some big numbers in on some brutal rounds.
See you soon.
Dop.

Its been a great season and well done to the UKAHFT Pete's.

I was pleased with my 53 when I came off a tough course at Quarry at the beginning of the season, highest score i heard of was a 56, so thats a gold in the bag , then rumours of a 59 thanks for the silver Rich...

I was pleased with my Rivi PB of 54, another excellent and challenging course, another silver, thanks Rich...

Great shooting buddy, some amazing shots in amongst those scores and well deserved, I am going to have to raise my game again and i am not getting any younger .

Tony

Am a bit late to the party (been away on my hols ), but wanted to add my heart-felt congrats to Richard and the other series winners.

Also, massive respect to Nick Hopkinson on taking top honours in .22 and his 59 at Emley Moor - surely this has got to be the highest ever .22 score in a UKAHFT competition? If so, it'll surely be a record that'll stand for a very long time - unless Mr Tench has other ideas?

Without taking anything away from Nick for that score he was fortunate to be on the right setup for that course on that day. A course setup to hurt the high mount long zero/px setups that have become common, and it did just that. well except for the very experienced Rammy! You dont put a 59 in with a .22 unless all your ducks are in a row!
Does it matter whether I have ideas of beating it or not, a person could shoot .22 for a life time and not better what Nick achieved that day! Wouldn't it have been great if he got his stander too!! He deserved to take the class title for that shoot alone!

The irony is that this was the first time Nick has shot a 59, with any calibre, despite many 58s and a number of 60s. So he's still not done it in Open
