Default Windicators ?

Quick one for the top lads now........are windicators any use or just an ornament ?
I've trusted my bit of wool for a while now but found it frustrating at times.....yesterday it somehow disappeared between lanes so i had to rely on facial breezes, ant movements & midges floating around in certain directions !
It actually worked better.........38/40 ( all off the bag though ) !

I like changing my feather
do I go for red sparkly wool and a red feather? Or a patterned feather that looks great with my Black Pepper Gold Star laminate stock?

Pretty!

Emma, I picked up a nice black and white Wood pecker feather the other day that would go very nice on your BSA! Or try a whole pigeon as they always face into the wind!

Thumbs up wool?

Has to be the same weight as your pellets to work

Failing that, put a bit of starch on it and set it at a biggles like scarf angle to throw others off the scent

Default Steaky bacon

If you use a piece of thin cut streaky bacon ,it will keep the fly's of your face.

Just don't use it when Damo brings the short legged beast down to Castle, mind you it might stop that from biting your face

For me the movement of the string just makes me think about wind on the shot. It's never the same where you sit as on the target, but it makes you think.

I reckon your doing it right , just spend a bit of time looking through your scope all the way to the target, dont forget to listen as well, beware of some airborne objects, ive mistaken flies for generall floating debris, them buggers go into the wind on purpose
a crafty course setter can put the peg near a hole in the bushes anyway
