Default Sightron 10-50 x 60 moa ft

Morning ,
What's the best way to range with top turret on this scope please?
Tape up and mark or use the numbers and a card or buy oversize rowan and mark up?
I just don't want to go through the whole process and find I could have done it better.

All the best

Paul.

I mark the sidewheel and then work out the number of clicks to dial on every scope.

I found the spacing at 50 to 55 yards was better using a Maestro Design sidewheel, but I know others who use the standard wheel without any problem.

Its a personal thing, so try different combinations of marking the side wheel / top turret until you find a set up that suits you.

Personally, I use the Sightron side wheel marked every yard with a larger mark every 5 yards which is then numbered. 50 - 55 yards is tight so I only have the 53 yard mark. I use the Rowan top turret, taped and marked every click and a larger mark every 5 clicks which is also numbered. This works for me as when the pressure is on, its a simple set up and I'm less likely to make mistakes.

Default Clicks for me

Instead of marking your wheel in yds or meters consider marking with the required clicks.
When you turn the wheel and it says 3.2 just dial and shoot.
You don't need to know how far the target is , you just need to know what's required to knock it over.

No need for all them clicks...! Tool marked his scopes wheel / turret in corresponding root veg symbols.... dipped with a cheeky little splash of Blue Stratus.... worked mega for Tool

Default Marks on turret

I use the Rowan top turret, taped and marked every click and a larger mark every 5 clicks which is also numbered.

May I ask why you do a big mark at every 5 on the turret ?
Have you realised there are only 8 clicks per block , they are either marked 1/8 or 1/4.
As for root veg , tool was the master.

If you tape your top turret you do not have to be ruled by
the standered markings, so by numbering in continuse numbers
a elevation of 3 numbers plus 2 clicks =26 clicks
2 numbers plus 4 clicks =20 clicks and so on
hope this explains it
