When i bought a Zeiss in 1982 it had a lifetime warrantee included, suspected a fault one year down the line returned it, sent to Germany, got put through a range of tests, was ok, returned no problems no cost,no fuss.Still going strong on a springer.

If that goes with the scope then that's as good as you can ask for.
Leupold even repair scopes that have been interfered with by outside parties.

I had an issue with a year-old Hawke scope.

I found Deben's attitude and helpfulness to be 105% - better than brilliant - and a lesson to many companies on "customer service".

On the other side of that I remember Simon Harrison sending a Hawke back as the peripheral view was wonky, blurred at one side and clear at the other and the ret didn't appear to be central. Deben returned it saying it was fine!! It was then returned again as they hadn't spotted one of the turret bases had come loose in the scope tube, that had been through a thorough test then!!!

And I got the go ahead to send my Burris in to be looked at today without having to provide the proof of purchase that had been asked for.

Default 5 years

I have just received an email of Gary Costelo from March , confirming a 5 yr warrantee .
He says that people that buy new are encouraged not to fill in the warrantee card so it can be done buy a second owner.
He says as long as it's not a grey import they will honor a claim.

Yes I had problems with a Deben on which the ret started to flake... it took weeks to resolve with Deben saying they thought they'd made it worse... in the end Lloyd from BAR stepped in and sorted it and I got a replacement. Sadly the Hawke versions wasn't a patch on the original in terms of clarity.

I sent my million year old Burris signature to Greeley Colorado earlier this year (May). Got it back in July with new turrets, cleaned internally, recoil tested and perfect.
