Remeber what ever you pay for your Rig in essence if you want to upgrade you'll get most of it back.

I started with AR20 then EV2, MPR and recently bought styer with sale of MPR.

My original set up cost was 450.

All were good wet ups and all were better than I am.

I bought my son a 2nd hand S200 for less than 200 and he can hit mid 40 s on a hft course. FT is a bit different due to a better scope been required but beginners hft kit for 400 is easily achieved.
Personally I'd say have a go with your favourite of the two springers before you do anything else.

The single biggest thing you can do has already been offered. Take what you've got and visit your nearest club. Once you start thwacking some decent metal targets on a proper range you'll see what your own kit can really do, you'll be surprised! Get used to the style of shooting and the format of the sports, then you can chat and look around at the kit being used and consider your options. And take lots of pellets, lots

cheers guys girls
I shoot pretty well with my springers hw99 9/10 at 40meters on the spinners and the tx200 only has a cross no mil dots and ive managed to judge out to 45 meters on same spinner but that's only hitting 6 or 6 outa ten I recon with a mil dot scope I could brush that up thou

York ftc is the closest to me and think am traveling down not this sunday but next probs leve the guns at home as missus will want to vistit rideaway oh the joys of horses stealing my shooting pennies (I ride to be rarely as am busy erm yeah shooting)

Hi Hoofy, I will be at York for the next two Sundays, and can lend you a rifle to use when you are there if you like and will gladly take you round our course HFT/FT mixed with some interesting targets but always good laugh.
