Not alot mate been mega busy.

All I can say so far is it appears to be pretty consistent.
Although i did struggle to get it to stay below 800 fps.

Wether this is my inexperience or something else I can't say for sure currently.
I'm hoping to have a bit more time with it soon

What I can definately say about the carbine ev2 though......
Mega! The compact Ness and lowered weight, and improved balance really do make it a fanatic little gun!

Tommy, I have just fitted the same reg into a pro target, worked great at first but the very small area of the sealing face in the reg created a small indentation in the seal. This caused the output pressure to rise as the reg piston had to be pushed futher and compress the springs more to create an effective seal. Turning the reg down a smidge after the settling period has it back on song and working great! and its only a 2 minute job!

One of my clubmates has just put a HUMA in his EV2 after we both failed to get his AA reg to behave.

It is VERY consistent at 775 + or - 3fps and very quiet.

After years of tinkering and tuning AA regs, when I next get the chance I'll install a HUMA in a Pro-T or EV and have a play.

Actually my AA reg is now fairly consistent ...BUT... It creeps.... first shot about 226 m/s (741fps) then 238m/s (780 fps) as I have set it for. It rises to 246 towards the very end of its run..... just before it comes off reg (95bar)

I just want something that works and that doesn't distract me from shooting the bloody thing.... eeerrrr!!

Thanks for all your comments

The creep towards the end may be because the gun has actually come off the reg and is making more power from slightly less pressure behind the firing valve. Lower the reg pressure a little more until the power drops away as it comes off the reg. With the rifle making more power from the correct reg setting it will also require less hammer spring tension calming the hammer acceleration down too.

Cheers, I'll give that a try next time i do a service..... The nice thing (or so I believe) about the Huma is that it is so easy to change the bar setting..... currently I have to keep taking it on and off the bottle until I get the desired reading (currently 95bar)

Thanks again for the tips

Default Little update.......

Well today I had planned to have a good play with the ev2,

I've just received my blueshot so a perfect time to have a play with that too.

I had a few shots with it this morning on my range,

Bloody awful. ... muzzle flip you wouldn't believe and a very unusual sounding muzzle report.

I checked the air pressure etc (no gauge currently) all ok there.
Something has happened to it since its been sat.....

So I've now ran out of time again, guns not very well.
Confidence is dropping rapidly in it

But on the plus side I have made a few subtle tweeks to the stock. A little reshaping and just a bit of a neaten up.
It was thrown together really in a very short space of time.

I'm hoping to have one of brians new lightweight butt hooks once they are ready...... 😉

This also throws up a small issue that will need some attention when I do get one on it

Being as they are quite alot lighter over 100 grammes if not more than the current bisley.
I will need to remove some wood from the inside of the stock in the fore end.
Easily sorted luckily, but the balance of this little gun is superb so it really is worth the effort to keep it spot on.

Oh and I will most likely fit a front gauge like the ftp, so I will need to add some extra weight to the rear end.......

I have a nice little sling mount I've made that will replace the rear cheek post, add a bit more weight where it's needed too.
