Default Sightron S111 10-50x60 FT IR Advice please

I'm looking at the Sightron S111 10-50x60 FT IR with the Mil hash reticle.

How would this reticle fare for Bench Rest at 25 and 50 yards?

Would the pip be obscured or still visible?

Is this a suitable reticle for BR?

Thanks
Simon

Thanks for the reply but I want to use it for FT as well, so I'm asking 2 jobs from it.

Any thoughts on the 50 mag with Mill hash reticle?

Cheers
Simon

They also make a 50 mag target dot which will do both job's ft and bench rest with no problems at all

I have an opportunity to buy a reasonably priced used 10-50x60 FTIR with mill hash reticle so I'm wondering how this reticle will manage BR...

Having had a 50 mag target dot and the field target scope as well I would think it would do bench rest ok so long as the mill hashes don't obscure what you are aiming at and even if it doesn't you won't lose money on the scope

Thanks Paul

I believe the dot on the MOA is the same size as the dot on the mil hash. I can see it on youtube and it looks small with a space around it which is what I want.

Think I will give it a go.

Anyone use this scope for BR with the mill hash ? Keen on hearing any reports...

I had a go with one along side a Big Nikko at an outdoor range for quite some time. It was sunny, and both gave great clarity and excellent ability when punching paper targets and also spinners. It was the mil hash in the Sightron and mil dot in the Nikko - I preferred the thinner Sightron reticule, the mil dot Nikko is a bit thick, but it's half the price.

In the end I went for the Nikko as I literally could not tell them apart optically, and I could have bought two of the Nikkos for the price of the Sightron.
