Question Shooting with Left eye

I have a RH stock EV2 mkII and last Friday I have lost the sight in my right eye.
What other ways have people seen other than buying a LH EV2 stock, people at my club told me of offset stocks (RH action scope on LH eye side).
I have used offset adaptor plates on my rimfire target rifle but will play hell with bullet drop etc.

Regards

Craig

Default Biathlon

There is a female biathlete that does exactly what you are proposing . She shoots right handed with a custom stock that allows her to look through the diopter sights with her left eye. I'm sorry but I don't know her name or nationality . You may find the easiest solution is to just shoot left handed. Shooting is the only thing I do left handed and that is purely because of eye dominance.
Good luck
Simon

Default Eye Dom

Hi
I am really sorry to hear about your misfortune. I naturally right handed but I do shoot with a left handed gun beta use I am left eyed Dom. I could not afford a left hand stock for me EV when i first had it and shot it with a right handed stock it did make a lot of difference when I finally got a left handed one. Warren D Edwards could probably make u a stock. Good luck and don't give up X

There's this as an idea.

http://www.intershoot.co.uk/acatalog/MEC-Swap-1140.html

Gehmann also do one.

No idea if either work.

I know it doesn't affect you, but eye dominance does not restrict motor dominance, and only you will be able to tell if shooting left handed with your left dominant eye is of benefit. For me it's not. Although my vision is better in my left, my handedness is better right.

Interesting gadgets nowadays. I'm also left eye dominant but right handed so ended up trying to teach myself to shoot left handed without much success. Might have to look into these things so thanks for the info!

I have started pinking using the the standard RH stock, range finding a bit awkward but managed to hit a few targets.

There was a guy who was right handed and had a damaged right eye at Guiseley.

He shot left handed and became an excellent shooter.
