Get settled down before putting scope to eye, pull strings to identify targets and get feeling for the wind. Load gun and then check you are settled before ranging 2 min is plenty of time, once you have fired the 1st shot reload straight away then range 2nd this means you are ready to go should you run low on time.

Read the targets look for a patent with misses if the misses are all high and one side might mean people are over ranging or getting lifted.

Most of all treat it as a learning lesson and enjoy it.

Try and enjoy the outing as much as possible. It's not life and death, so a miss is just that. Lose the target and not the lesson. Its like learning to ride a bike, at the start everything seems to be happening soo fast and seems overwhelming. after a while its all second nature. Shooting will be the same.

Drink regularly, have a snack and most importantly BREATHE.
Enjoy the outing

My advice is as thus
Go to gp at tawd
Miss most targets
Retire from ft shooting for at least 10 months to get over it
