Find the ones that shoot best straight from the tin and save yourself a load of work. If you cant find any pellets it will shoot good straight from the tin look at the gun not the pellets!

And then go from there. Some guns respond to additional pellet specific treatment , nuff said

With regard to poll questions,I would consider the tail dia more important, which has not been offered as one of the more important characteristics modifying accuracy results.
I, as well as many well known shooters used RWS Superfields about 4years ago, until they altered the die.
When the old pellets were compared to the new died batch the results were that the new head and tail diametres had been altered, head dia increased and tail dia decreased.
The result being at 55yds the groupings were not tight as before and not consistant.Probably why the more knowlegeable shooters dumped them and moved to something else.

Default bla bla bla

head size==> isn't that what they invented choked barrels for?
weight==> got my vote, different weight different height in poi. And did you ever know anybody to adjust on weight, shooters size, wash, lube there pellets. Never heard one put 0.001g of weight to there pellet or taking it away.
lube==> just a different muzzle speed.
washed==> just a change in how fast de barrel gets dirty on the inside.
straight out of the tin==> What I do in real life because all of the foregoing are so small details in comparison to what all can go wrong with the shooter.

Kind regards

Personally I find a pellet that shoots well from the tin and then weigh for peace of mind
I've been down the washing, sizing, lubing route and it made no difference in group size compared to weighing which I feel can and does make a degree of difference
