Both the Bushnell 8-32x40 and the Burris 8-32x44 are available with a mil dot reticle which will make them ideal for HFT range finding.

I prefer the Burris over the Bushnell but try both if you can.

Ps, the Burris will not white out, even when looking toward the sun which is why I prefer it.
Less is more.
