Default Airgun mags selling your details!

I have started receiving loads of personally addressed charity letters recently and I wanted to know where they had got my details from.

Turns out it is with whom I had 2 subscriptions to airgun mags, they were referring to charities from sister publications. i.e. the charity letters from RNLI were sourced from Sport Diver magazine.

I signed up at the Midland game fair in 2013 or 14 and as always I ticked the little boxes that essentially say don't spam me.

Cancelled my subscriptions now from them and will just buy nice and anonymously in the shops from now on :-)

If you subscribe and don't want them to sell your details then you will need to call them on 01858 438832 and ask them not to.

Just wondering if you can simply change "your" address to theirs so they send themselves all their own junk.

Very annoying, same happened to me when I subscribed to an angling mag a couple of years ago, they don't deserve our business when they do this.

I wonder what our alleged representative on the other forum has to say about it, not that I can ask him...

How do you know it was the airgun mags?

It could well be the website you used... probably want to up sell you other stuff to buy more. It always happens when buying through a middle man.
