Default MPR FT Question

I'm looking at having some work done to my MPR FT and need to have the cheek piece in sections in order to get measurements. I've taken it off the main rifle stock and removed the wooden cheek piece, but how do you get the upright pillars out of the top metal section, are they glued in or screwed in ?
