Default FTP weight loss

Turns out you can put an FTP900 on a diet!

Plan is to lose 2 pounds in weight (I might have put a bit of that on the gun fitting the butt hook )

The current muzzle brake weighs half a pound.
My attachment arrangements for the butt hook weigh one and a half pounds all up including AAs dovetail post.
The thing that holds the hamster and ball jointed posts weighs half a pound.

Believe it or not, the gubbins that links the barrel support, including the support and the horrible shroud weighs nearly half a pound!

There will be a slight loss in that the hamster will only adjust up and down due to fixed posts.

I reckon the replacement parts might weigh less than a pound.

Happy days

Ftp does look a lot better stripped down, plus it handles better for me

Looks like you have a similar arrangement to mine for attaching the butt hook. I'm ditching all the ironwork, Gemini straight to a new aluminium adjuster post/plate.

No doubt a good approach but, looking at some of the shooters I rather fancy they should start with themselves before the gun
