Default Hw100 fps drop

Hi,has anyone got any ideas why my hw100 has lost 40 to 45 fps from plinking range to 1st target at weekend comp, pellets were going in the right place, but all we're dropping out bottom, the further away the target the lower they were, can't see no obvious leaks and the pellets weren't being sprayed about ie dirty barrel, gauge was showing plenty of air as well,

Any help appreciated,

Thanks Ian.

Colder temperatures can affect the viscosity of the grease or lube on the hammer assembly. Common according to the Weihrauch owners club. As the colder temperatures set in, the hammer is slowed slightly by whatever is lubricating it, thus reducing the power output.

A strip and light greasing of the hammer assembly should resolve this

As above, the cold is most likely. I'm guessing you went on the plinking range after taking the rifle out of a warm car after being in a warm house. But then after checking all is good on the plinking range it probably cooled down a fair bit before you went on the course.

I'd avoid grease on the shuttle at all personally and run it nearly dry. A bit of dri-slide buffed in or a tiny bit of light oil.

Degreasing the HW100 action is vital if you want the power stable in all temps. But the best thing you can do with any rifle is keep it at ambient temp all the time rather than expose it to a lot of severe temp changes by keeping it in a warm house and using it outdoors.
