I shot on 24x mag last year, 16x in the winter league but I'm trying out 20x this year. A lower mag gives me a better chance of seeing the pellet in flight/striking the plate with the boinger.

10x is a bit too small for me when I'm shooting 55 yard targets, I usually shoot the 15mm's on 32 mag too so they look bigger They must look like dustbin lids through a March on 80x

Range and shoot on 50, I tried ranging on 80 at first (because I could ) but I find it too dark in most cases. I still see the pellet in flight for the last few yards 95% of the time. I used to range on 50 and shoot on 35 when I was using my Nikko as I kept loosing the target on 50! it's surprising how quickly you can get used to things when you try?

As I do SFT then it's 10x Mag for me as I also bracket targets.
