having not been shooting hft as long as most I've not had the fortune of shooting one of your courses before but thoroughly enjoyed it. the dedication to the job in hand was plain to see.
thanks and wish you all the best..

I was shocked when I read that post!

66? I thought you weren't a day under 70

Seriously, I have really appreciated your courses, especially the last 2 years Alphas,
they have been mares: wind, positioning and the dreaded range traps. I tried to apply what I learned last year but you still got me time and again.
Exactly what a course should be at a World's - good honest targets and hard as you like.

I will look forward to having some laughs and company with you on the other side of the firing line and maybe we will take some of the tough ones standing - like in the old days ....NOT, you barsteward

All the best and thanks again for your efforts

Bit of a shock that one, but after giving you a hand setting Alpha, I know how much effort goes into the courses you set, & you start thinking about it at least 6 months before !! Final tweaking, oiling, painting, tying up ladders to make sure they stay put.. all adds up to making sure the course runs smoothly for 2 days.

But, it will be good to see you back shooting & having a laugh again though

In life you should not persue goals that are easily achieved, develop an instinct for what can be only just achieved through your greatest efforts.

I don't need to say too much Ian, you know what I think of your courses.

Thanks for all your commitment mate, it really is appreciated. Looking forward to seeing you enjoying yourself on the other side of the firing line again.

Thanks for all your hard work over the years Ian at both the worlds and Mad. It takes a lot of time and effort to set courses and your input will be missed, cheers Dave.

Ian - thanks for all the time you have spent catching us out!

Rudy and I really enjoyed shooting round with you at Cambridge last year and glad to hear you are making more time for yourself.

Its always a pleasure to see and chat with you Ian ,each of your courses isn't quiet what it seems, and takes a second and if you've shot one before a third and fourth look before shooting it.
Somethings are exceptional by their nature and have to be experienced at least once! . shame it won't be possible to do this any more.
Good to see you are going on the other side to continue shooting, maybe a chance to give you some of your own medicine back!
