What was you opinon of the wind in death valley then? I got a heads up early on from one of the SA shooters, who said if you can;t feel or see any wind aim bang on, if you can feel the slightest wind on your afce, give it three mildots at 50m. I did that a few times and scored a few. But missed equally as many, giving it too much or too little. That was a nasty section indeed.

There just wasn't any correlation between wind strength here in NZ and what I observed over there. For a start the plants didn't help much as all the grasses and the rushes were too stiff and dry to move much!

It certainly was an education.
