Thumbs up

‘twas a very well thought out course, with each and every lane demanding 110% attention if donuts were to be avoided ! And when combined with that ever-so-gentle breeze…. OUCH (just glad the rain stayed away) !!

Very, very well done …. you evil gits !!!

THANK YOU to Steve Gillies for the company [a true gent], and THANK YOU to all those who congratulated Dylan on his first UKAHFT National win in the 9-13's (not sure who was most thrilled/excited - Dylan, or me - but, he hasn’t stopped smiling yet) !!

Looking forward to the 2014 already …

Thanks to Quarry for a great course and making sure the rain held off (you could see it pouring down in the distance), didn't stop the wind though

Thanks also to Tim and Greg for great company, roll on next season .

Thank you to Pete and the UKAHFT team and Quarry for yet again putting on an event that always seems a bit special to round off the season!

Very well done to James for taking the title in the open class, Richard would also have been a deserving champion for his excelent performance this year! It is a shame there could be only one winner.

Congratulations to all the class winners especially Barry Smith taking the .22 class in his first season with a .22

Well, my 1st national & I wasn't last! Easily the toughest course/conditions I've shot. Really enjoyed the day and got completely aniillated be 14 year old girl! EXCELLENT shooting young Rebbeca......! Thanks to my other shooting partners Wayne & Ian too (nice gun Ian, they should have a vintage gun class ) Will be back for more & hopefully get several rounds of the UK's in next year. The 2 main things I learnt is that my rangefinding is crap & needs serious work + I need to take lots more time & not "rush" every shot!
Thanks again to all at quarry.
Rick Ardern. RIP mate, never ever forgotten!

Pete Sparkes took some pictures of the Targets used at the Quarry National yesterday, these are now available on the UKAHFT website

There are some very interesting misses on some targets, makes you wonder if some shooters chickened out in that wind
