Default Scores this year

I've only managed to make 3 before the cricket killed my shooting for another summer ...

... but looking at the scores it looks like it's been hard work in at least 3 out of the 5 so far.

I shot Kibby and the 2 days at Fort ( gutted I couldn't do Rivi as I love shooting there over winter ).

Kibby was very windy and I died. Fort day 1 was very windy and I died. Fort day 2 was quite calm but I still died but a few pcp 59s and Dave got 55 with his springer.

At Bisley scores looked high and top springer was Daniel with 54.

Looking at the scores at Rivi it looks like the wind got up and the wind is fun at Rivi.

Are the courses getting tougher or is it, as usual, the wind that makes the big difference and there have been a few quite windy days... or a bit of both?

I've shot all the rounds and I think the wind sorts out the men from the boys......I'm still a boy but the wind has been evil at 3 of the rounds so far!

I shot my first national at bisley easy course IMO got a 53 2nd session with a new rifle, shot rivi in 2nd session which didn't have as much wind as 1st session, testing course shot a 49 placed 17th and qualified for the gathering...

Had it been the same conditions 2nd session I don't think I would have scored a 49, round average was lower than normal 43.13 2012 49.87 don't no what the comparison was with regards to level of dificulty between courses...

Some say shooting 1st session weather is sometimes better,as they think weather moves in later in the day ??? Might be the case sometimes but you just have to go with it if that's the how things pan out,and by all accounts rivi proved the sceptics wrong

I have shot all four rounds so far,
Kibby is always evil in the wind, Fort day one was just as windy, day two was calmer and my scores improved, Bisley was calm and IMHO was not as tricky as in previous years there.
Rivi was just Evil the wind blew in all directions and Andy had made it a true test.
Roll on the MAD double header it will be the first time I will have shot a course at MAD that hasn't been set by Ian. It will be interesting to See how evil they can be
