Question How does your club occupy it's ground?

This is a poll to see how clubs occupy their ground... not scientific... just out of interest.

And it's not public.

my club uses some land thats in this chaps back garden so to speak ie a couple of fields and a wooded sort of gully , anyways we basicly give him most of our money for instance if i paid 5 to shoot hft the land owner gets 4 something like that anyways .

ps would be nice to have our own land that way all the money could go back into the club and improve the facilities . but ha ho back in the real world

cheers fubar.

Our landlord is Shebbear College. We have an exchange of letters with them dating back to 2003 that basically says the ground (4 acres) is ours to use, sole occupancy, open ended, but we would be kicked off if we caused them any grief.

In exchange for paying no rent as such, we have to do all the maintenance except the main hedge trimming, and we allow the College to mention us as a facility in their prospectus to parents of future boarding students. We also take about 10 to 20 teenage students every Wednesday afternoon and teach them to shoot. We enrol them as student members and the College pays their membership subs, no doubt backcharging the parents.

College has no equity in the club and is not involved in the management.
