Default Phil's lucky day at Worcester

Phil’s Day at Worcester SARC practice .....

The wind blew & blew ....

But 16 hardy souls turned up for the official SARC practice .

Johnny Smith came up to inspect, was not happy , too many “gimme” shots he thought ...

But it was fun , give wind & the pellet goes straight where aimed ... Curses ...

Next target don’t give wind & the pellet whistles off into the far yonder ....

However Phil Tombs was the man ... all his practice on mini kills paid off today .

All ties decided on count back .

Well done to every one who braved the weather & came out to have a bit of fun .
Shooting up in the woods was definitely a bit of a challenge , trying to figure out where the wind was whirling , lifting , dropping or doing absolutely nothing ....

Next week sees Round 1 of the UK Sporting Air Rifle Challenge , at the Worcester club .

Todays’s results :-
1) Phil Tombs 51 FX Verminator
2) Gerry Baillon 50 AA S400
3) Alex Dermietzel 50 BSA Scorpion Junior
4) Dan Tombs 47 Daystate Mk 4
5) Dave Clements 44 HW 97K 1st Springer
6) Jeremy Massey 44 Daystate Huntsman
7) Darrin Lynne 43 HW 97 ( all shots taken kneeling with his springer ? ? )
8) Ryan Massey 41 AA S400 Junior
9) Ian Treadwell 41 HW 97K Springer
10) John Holder 40 HW 100
11) John Hodgett 39 AAS400
12) Mark Jones 38 Daystate Huntsman
13) Mick Boswell 37 AA TX200 Springer
14) Jason Scott 36 BSA SE 22 Shooter
15) Ian Sheppard 33 HW 95
16) JP Bradley 32 AA TX200
Isuza imBuzi . . . . . .

10mm kills "gimmes"

Thought doing 2 laps of the course made it much more interesting - wind was doing something totally different second time round

Me and my big mouth, I decided to shoot kneeling and standing yesterday but I forgot that there are 10mm kills in SARC, doh!

Well shot Phil!

To be fair to Ian S, he shot most of the course kneeling as well, it was a good effort considering he normally shoots a PCP.

Thoroughly enjoyed meself, great grounds and some really tricky shots. Uphill downhill, long uns, short uns, teeny tiny kills the lot. Oh and that wind Great fun :-)
