Default WHFTA Thanks

Myeslf and Jane
Would like to thank everyone who helped the Worlds run this year.

Imo it was the best yet and the new location has big potential.
First of all to everyone who set both courses and it wasn’t just the matter of putting the targets out, all the hard work of doing a lot of clearing in both woods especially Alpha course, which Ian has been up there at least 5 times, so a special thanks to him.

To all course setters, Ian Bainbridge, Greg Hensman, Paul Andrews, Simon Howarth, myself, Derick Stone, Dave Lillywhite,Steve Gillies, Guy Gillies & Kieran Turner

To girls who helped Jane with the booking in Elaine Lillywhite & Tracey Stone.

Pete Dutton for writing over 700 cards out and for running the website.

Everyone else who helped over the 2 days.

To all Marshalls who gave up their time to do their bit and especially to Gary Chillingworth who arranged all the marshalling this year, which again run better than it has before.

To the people who resprayed the targets between sessions and to everyone who helped pull the courses in.

Claire West & Air Arms for donation a limited edition gun and goody bags.
John & Karen from Aim fieldsports gunbags & mats
Solware gunbags & bean bag
Valley Arms for contribution towards the scorecards.

Lloyd grove for doing a cracking job on the trophies.

To Jerome Roberts and his staff from Countryman Fairs for their sponsorship of the event and the work the lads do in preparation for us.

Lastly but not least to all competitors for making the Worlds the success it is.

If I have left anyone out i apologise

Pete & Jane

Thumbs up

Massive THANK YOU to all those mentioned above and to Mr & Mrs Sparkes themselves.

Shot like a blind man standing on one leg myself, but Dylan and I thoroughly enjoyed each and every minute of it. Two very, very good courses - which both clearly illustrated the amount of time, thought and effort that had gone into them.

Was our first trip to the World Champs and thanks to the hard work of all those mentioned above and our shooting buddy Terry - 'twas definitely a weekend Dylan and I will remember for a very long time.

I haven't enjoyed a weekend like that probably since the 1st world's when Mr Turner showed us all how to shoot by clearing both days.
I've missed the last 4 but I'll be back for more next year. The new location was excellent and the competition car park next to the event makes things much easier.
Big thanks to all the organisers and everyone else who helped to make the weekend what it was and a special thanks to Scott and Emily Clark for the company over 2 days.
All in all....brilliant.

A big thank you to everyone involved.

IMO the best two courses to date both completely different with great wind on both.

Suprises on the scores I thought showing how maybe both courses helped to show weaknesses and strengths in everyones game. A true HFT winner with the easy looking shots kicking people where it hurt.

But the biggest thank you of all to those who run the governing body, people moan all the time about changes here and there to the rules but I think the weekend shows how well the format is developing.

May UKAHFT rules and WHFTA go from strength to strength. Its what makes getting up early on Sundays worth it.

Can't imagine all the hard work that must go into it all that is needed to make it run as well as it does.

What can I say but see you all next year.

Hobbit Army

Rick Ardern super low mounts ISP MK3 pellet launching platforms and Sightron 10 x 42mm telescopic sights.
Because it is not about how, but how many.

HUGE thanks to everyone who contributed to a fantastic couple of days shooting. The organisation was second to none.

An excellent event over two superb courses. Well done and thank you to all those who have given their time to make this such a superb event. And a special thanks to those who travelled the extra miles from "foreign" places, such as Lithuania and Scotland to make this a truly international event, unlike some other "World Series" sporting competitions

Yes, let's see if we can get the manufacturers along next year, and find some space for spectators...

My first time at the WHFTA and only 4 months into competitions but I got a lot of satisfaction from shooting the two courses and I thought they were really well set up. I certainly will be having a go next year and let's hope it's a bit warmer.

A very "well done" to all who set up the event and worked hard throughout. Great time.
