I have shot my springer in a couple of rounds this year, though not well enough to win a trophy, even if there was one.I havent voted as i cant make up my mind wether i would prefer the odball class or the 5 minimum rule, but i would definately like to see a trophy in the springer class to mark what a good achievement it is to shoot well with a recoiling rifle,i can see why there isnt a trophy at present though as it would'nt have much meaning with only a few in the class at some rounds.Maybe there could be a minimum score before a trophy is rewarded to the recoiling winner, such as 50+...

My opinion for what it's worth as a club chairman
Trophies cost a lot of money so this needs to be considered seriously, we as a club provided 1st to 2nd in every class as well as 5 team and 5 open trophies, just those 5 open trophies cost us 190 the rest of the trophies we provided through a club member who kindly helped us out through contacts. We did this because we can and will continue to do so if we get a round and can continue to get the trophies, how ever if we lost the opportunity to get the other trophies the way we do and at the cost they are we would still try and provide at least a first place in the other classes as a fundamental part of our club is shooting in all classes and age groups and i think this needs to be encouraged and by doing so give people the incentive to win a trophy at every round.
And i'm thinking about dusting off the old .22 for next year

Default Springer

I am thinking of shooting springer next year as the challenge is very rewarding but a far as trophys it only becomes meaningful if there is sufficient competition.
