Default Leupold Comp advice please.

I will probably be ordering a Leup Comp 40x from Leupolds Custom Shop. I would have the scope delivered to a friends villa while he is out there on holiday.

I know a Comps rangefinding moves with temp so will a silver finish help? Secodly, Leupold have answered an email I sent regarding a custom reticle. They can do mildots where I like as long as I tell them the "subtension" required. I only want two dots below for the close ones and two each side for windage. Can anyone reccomend a suitable subtension please? Finally, I will have them reparallax the scope for FT ranges. 150 yards is standard so I'm thinking of ordering it set at about 75 yards. I already have their 50 foot adapter on my Nikko so would use that for the close ones.

Any advice would be really appreciated.

ATB, Chris

hi Chris
I bought my leup comp last year while on holiday in the usa the standard parallax will come down to 11yrds. And have good gaps 45/50/55 yards from my own experience the scope does not suffer
From heat but from to much light no bright days
Daystate ftr/zelier 6x24x44
Hammerli / leup comp 40x with a jon harris cylinder and a mick tromans brake
