Default Butler Creek size question?

I have taken the BC eyepiece cover off my mk1 Nikko Diamond but it is way to big for the mk4 that I now have... I have measure the mk4 with a vernier to 41mm and the nearest BC listed size is 40.8mm

So my question is - does anyone else with this scope have a size 14 (40.8mm) cover on it or have I measured it wrong...

Many thanks for your help.
