So the zero is not a zero of any discription, but in fact just a reset point or reference point.
And only people using holdover have a zero. (and normally 2 zero's)

Effectively, yes. Because by dialling the clicks for the estimated range you are re-zeroing the scope, I mean, the POA and the POI become - hopefully - coincident.
