Our thanks go to Richard Woods for setting to very challenging but most enjoyable courses (not a single stoppage on either course throughout the entire day must be a record of some sort!), to Bridgette Vant and Jean Greatrex for their unstinting help in making the day run so smoothly, the Meon Valley guys (Steve, Mike, Kev) and Rex for their help in pulling in the course at the end of the day, Air Arms for bringing their Speed Shot along for us all to have a go at (massive grin factor!), and most importantly all who took part and made the day so enjoyable - a fabulous atmosphere, no "prima donna" behaviour, banter of the highest order, and smiles all round.

We've already decided to run this event next year - and having hosted this shoot so well and put out such outstanding courses, there's no question that the second British Air Rifle Championships will once again be staged at MAD; as soon as we've set the date. we'll be letting you all know

A really great day, challenging courses just one problem!, I shot recoiling class and would like it known that I gave Rex the Sex a pounding metaphorically speaking that is.
Must make sure to keep a space for the next one.
Thanks,
Dave Mansfield.

I presume the FT/HFT scores are the wrong way round as you've got them listed there?

What a truly brilliant day everyone had lots of fun, ft and hft mixed well and is good to see that we proved once and for all that the hft shooters are considerably more talented and better looking than those dodgy blokes in GIMP suits.

The event was superbly run and a huge thanks to those at CompAir and MAD for putting on such a wonderful event.

Well spotted and thank you for pointing that out, Dave - have now corrected that little oversight.

(NOTE TO SELF: make sure in future that I am properly awake before posting stuff )

I don't often agree with Mr choo-choo, we were much better looking... apart from simpleton (who is a special kind of ugly..) just a shame i couldn't hit a barn door Ha!

Great day though, i was speaking to one of the FT guys and he seemed almost human, though i did nod off at one point when he went into an hour long explanation of air pressures..push ..n' pull...ZZzzz.. (no names Rob..Doh!!) Haha!

Thankyou very muchness for putting yourselves out!

At least Sir Dopperless didn't win..

what an absolute blast, thank you so much for granting my recoiling colleagues a chance to win a lovely trophy which I would have liked to have competed for, but, alas it seems that I struggle with FT more than I struggled with HFT yesterday and before my favourite HFT senior citizen points out, I only just beat Roy Pearce even though he only shot the HFT.

I will definitely be doing this again next year and may even make a more suitable extension for my hamster. I have to say that even though I sprung a leak and shot like a **** I WON , What a superb prize that Paul Relf so generously awarded to me, I shall use that with pride and have it as a souvenir always with me when I shoot. A bolt action bullet pen to keep note of all of my misses on the score card.

There was so much positivity and camaraderie all day and I feel so much better for having spent the day with great people, AWESOME catering, two fabulous courses and of course a chance to have a sleep in the car park before driving home. Thanks Dopper, I know I owe you a Quid for squatting.

30FT and 25 HFT

Clever how the courses used the same firing line worked well. Obviously not Doppers idea.
