Default MFTA Upgrades

The start of the MFTA 2013/14 Winter League begins on 29th September.

Should any shooter wishing to compete in the series who wishes to upgrade from their current BFTA grade please inform myself in good time.

A few shooters have already nominated to upgraded themselves.

Contact me via PM on this site or email on the MFTA site.

Gilly,

Comp Manager.

Hi Simon

from the BFTA rules

The total number of targets designated as standing and/or kneeling must not exceed 20% of the total of targets on that particular course and these positional targets should be divided as equally as possible.

So 2 lanes of kneeling and 2 lanes of standing.

This I imagine, and hope, is the most likely format that we will see but the rule does allow for less (even none).

Shaun

6 of each on a 40 course would be nice, 8 of each on a 50. They are a discipline after all but with so few you don't get opportunity to examine the full range and balance of distances for all the grade classes

P.S. targets, not lanes

Invoke Open Class. Agree among yourselves and do 40 standing or 20:20 standing:kneeling.

Won't affect grades with Open but you could have a lot of fun and competition amongst the "Greats" that way.

Default Upgrade or stick

The new Winter League grades are now up to date and available to see.

Any MFTA shooter who feels their grade is borderline and wishes to upgrade please contact me before the

Series starts.

A grade is looking very `full` with several shooters close to 85% mark. Same in B grade too with several

shooters close.

Have one or two bad shoots effected your grade?

Several shooters have already upgraded.

Lets try to make 2013/14 as sporting as possible by shooting in your appropriate grade.

Gilly,

Comp Sec.
