Default CSFTA Winter League Round 3

Well, that was a bit damp, wasn't it !!

I never thought I would see the day that I walked off a course because of the weather, but today I was quite happy to go.....along with 50% of the starting shooters

Results are now on the CSFTA site. Results page then click the link.

Alan.

Well done Alan... it was a bit damp wasn't it!

There's was only one thing keeping me on that course, and that was keeping my nose in on the Gary Wells Trophy... Well done to Steve Privett for his 2nd win this season, and to Steve for his share. Jon Saunders shot well to equal 2nd overall, he'll be kicking himself for that mistake on the close kneeler... Justin did well for his share of 2nd as well. Nice to see under some real tough conditions that we have some breadth of strength in the region.

Shame Dave's daystate didn't take it's shower well, so I suppose him winning the bonus again was some consolation.

Default Thanks to Southampton.......

Sorry Steve, pre-occupied with the weather

Thanks to you and your guys for the course, the half that I shot was excellent

Seriously, regardless of the effects of the weather, the usual amount of effort went into the course building etc, so thanks.

Alan.

The Carisbrooke team managed to shoot 4 lanes, before retiring with vision issues (scope enhancers full of water, glasses covered in water) wish I had left it an hour or so before starting, but the weather on the way back was just as bad until reaching Southampton.

Thanks for Buccaneers for putting the shoot on just wish I had managed to put more effort into it.

Next time I will take a spare set of clothes, heated front seats, blower on max heat and I was still wet nearly 3 hrs later when I got home( and some waterproof that work)

I need a new air canister... i'm not sure how full it was at the start, but it was empty at the end.

I'll try and make it dry for Christchurch

I'm sure that those of you rightly concerned for its well-being will be relieved to hear that it seems to be working perfectly again this morning now it's dried out

It's got a lot of points to make up though ...

Regards

Dave
