Default daystate cr97 hampster

Hi all i have just bought a cr97 and i love it , now when sat in the ft position it sits about 3" to low how it the best way to make a riser I dont want to drill the stock , there is a single bolt mount for action to stock
I am very new to ft going to do my first swefta shoot with my lad and his s200 so i have thought about taping / double sided tape to make a riser block mount to the stock to see how it goes ? any better ideas ?
thanks
scott

When I bought my first Walther the previous owner had used high strength velcro to put a 2" deep laminate block on to the base of stock. I have seen it in B&Q etc cheap and was very effective as he could move it fore and aft etc as required. Peels off easily when you find a better solution with a hair drier. He put the soft furry bit on the stock and the hook bit on the block.
Without the block the furry stuff acted like non slip tape as well.
Cheap but effective!

Hi Scott

You have a good gun there, well looked after and capable of winning competitions, with plenty of practice of course!!

I used to have a riser block glued to the underside and also a tie on suede leather hampster for added height. I believe I still have both knocking around somewhere so will have a look and let Steve have them when I see him sunday. You may like to borrow and try and see if that solution suits you before making something!!

Found an old picture to show you what it was like.

On my other CR97 I did made a wooden riser and using some spacers permanently fixed it to the stock, but of course it did mean drilling into the woodwork. The picture will give you an idea.

Found the tie on hampster Scott, but I think I gave the wooden one to Steve when I let him borrow the gun a couple of years ago. Speak to Steve about that perhaps ...
