Default Emley Moor 2017 HFT Classic results.

A decent turnout on Sunday but once again let down by the wind on a comp day. For those that don't know the shoot is held in memory of Ian Houghton who was taken by cancer with all proceeds going to Kirkood Hospice who looked after Ian at the end.

Many thanks to the old and new friends that came along to face the 'shed of doom'.

Congrats to Elliott Compton for taking the annual shield and commiserations to Paul Kelly who did a brilliant clear on the course but finished in 7th position after the Sillies.

Total raised for the day was...drum roll.......£910

Well done everyone and thanks for the support of Dave n Shirley Brayford and Greg Hensman for some extra raffle prizes.

Thanks to all involved, especially Chris who never seemed to stop all day. Fantastic hospitality as allways and a cracking event.

(Just a little side note, I shot that horrible .22 class not open )

I would agree that it was a fantastic day and for such a worthy cause financially.

I shot the "shed of doom" for the first time yesterday. I thought it actually more enjoyable than the course although that was up to its usual high standards. For me, the silhouettes represented something different and it was clear that a lot of other shooters enjoyed it as well. It appears to be a strange hybrid of watching a darts tournament and shooting some ridiculously small and hard targets, while providing plenty of opportunity for those that wish to to carry out some merciless barracking. A fine recipe for a memorable event if ever there was one.

I only wish that a similar design for a full day of competition including a "doom shoot" was more readily available for other shoot organisers, although I do of course appreciate the additional time and effort that it would take to arrange this. It made what was already a great day last even longer!

Well done to Chris and all of the other Emley shooters who provided us all with such a brilliant day!

Andy/Frank

One of my favorite comps of the year (even though I can't shoot the sillies for sh*t). Big thanks the Chris & all the Emley crew + everyone else who helped out in some way or another. Keep up the good work & all for a very worthwhile cause. Congratulations to Elliot on being this year's champ

What a great day out and many thanks to the Emley crew for putting it on.

It was one of those days where your score felt unimportant - it was just there to be enjoyed and support a deserving cause.
