Default Quarry road closed

We have just been informed that the road just after the roundabout for Quarry is closed on Sunday, if you look at the link here it's the part we're the arrow is pointing, this will only affect people who come this way via pontypool etc.

I will get the local Members to sort an alternative route

From the roundabout on A472 take the turn which opposite the one you normally use to the next roundabout which is approx 50 Yds, take the first left on to the b4251. Sainsbury's will be on your right hand side follow road for approx 1/2 mile to a set of traffic lights take a left past Costcutter on Llanarth Road fellow this approach 1/2 mile you see a bridge on the left which is quite steep rising up the mountain follow this road until you reach a junction take left fork which is almost back on its self then uphill until you reach the house that you would normally turn right at which is about 100yds form the ground

Sparky is doing a trail run of this

Default Road closed.

Alternatively , as l understand only a short length of the road is closed,do as Gary said, but instead of turning left at this roundabout,go 90 degrees right, through the village and take the first right (tonapistyll road).Half a mile on turn left at the T junction, and you will be on the same road a hundred yards or so from the closed stretch.
