Yep, i'd go with the false economy advice as well. A BSA/Nikko or a custom shop for £200 (deben, not hawke... or tasco or walther or hakko) will take you all the way... where as you might splash £100 on a zos etc but lose it when you upgrade. Get something 1/2 decent and it should last you for ever... perfect if your picking it up and down.
I've had the leups for FT, and i've ended up with a cupboard full of custom shops. Optically they vary... rangefinding wise they are easy to learn. Got a couple of t35's which I haven't had time to play with much, but for a fixed 35x scope they take some beating, and only by a leup comp.
