Most of the shooters who start at our club use ZOS 10-50x56 or MTC 8-32. When they upgrade to a Big Nikko or an old Custom Shop their scores tend to go up. These are available second hand and can be re sold at little loss if you dont persur FT. I wouldnt recomend MTC or ZOS as it could be a false economy. Some ZOS perform very well but you may need to 5 or 6 to get a good one.
I use the Bushnell 6500 4.5-30x50 which ranges perfectly, on a par with Leupold and Big Nikko. This could also be a decent HFT scope due to compact size and low mag range althoug I dont shoot HFT, the 2.5 - 16 wersion is popular in HFT.
Who knows it may work well as a dual dicipline scope, somthing I have considered. Any comments from seasoned HFT shooters on this one.
