There is no deformation at all, the head is exactky the same shape as that before it was fired, except for the rifling marks on the side of the head and tail.
I am currently in the process of testing it to destruction with video evidence.
An air rifle manufacturer has already purchased some which he has been using for several years.
It can also be used as a back stop.
