Strippers in air rifles really do not work as such . what they do is to keep rain off the end of the barrel and most important alter the vibration of the barrel as the pellet exits . resonance , that way you can tune the barrel to be more accurate at different distances . it will not make a bad barrel good . on my shutz the muzzle brake i have made by keith allen allows my rifle to do it's best work at 50 yards , which for me is good . so really an adjustable weight would do the same thing , but would not look as good ???
