Shooting .22 in HFT makes you more aware of every aid to rangefinding. I used to use bracketing solely but now tend to find a point I believe is 10 yards away then another double that distance and so on until I've visually reached the target in estimated yards. I also tend to walk way to the side of a lane to get a side on view as this can be useful, especially in woods (like Basingstoke).

Having POIs double the height in the reticle of those used in .177 shooting makes rangefinding really critical in .22 and I'm sure it will benefit me when I return to the smaller calibre.
