The grass is not always Greener
the four shots missed at Millride yesterday for wind were perhaps a sign that the love affair with RS is over?
The missed targetss trobled me, though not for the missing, but really having little clue where to aim was the problem. The rs / falcon seem so inconsistant?
However, it may be just lack of use?
Popped down Tondu today as it may be the only "shooting" day this week if repair work to road goes ahaed.
Rev out of stock and Priest in and it was off to re-zero / set up with express. did not bother cleaning Priest barrel, just shot 4.50 sized dai 39 Express.
interesting results, the went exactly where i was pointing them?
So, maybe the grass never was greener on the Rs side?
Quickly set zero at 50m and checked settings, all very close if not the same to using rs. Chrono showed 818 so ok there.
what was noticale was the wind. i could tell it was there and in my mind knew where an Rs would land, but the express moved very little. at worst half the wind i would have expected an Rs to take!
I have always said Priest was the better gun, and that always was with express.
so happy chappy and thinking this will be no 1 sret up for 2012?
However, not wishing to finish the experiment too early, i put the REV ack in the stock and zero checked.
Results as expected, very accurate in no wind but in wind expect larger movement left or right?
