I agree that it seems contrary to the whole idea. The money has to be found from somewhere, and the cost is now passed onto the coach/instructor. There are benefits of joining, beyond being insured for coaching/instructing there is the kit insurance to and from shoots. But these might not be enough to keep an instructor as a member. If the club can help out, if it charges for joining fees or can run small instruction courses, may be the money can be found from there. But it's not ideal.
Every club that is insured with the NSRA will get a copy of the rifleman. Every region representative has been emailed by the BFTA last week.
I am trying to find out when who knew what, and what can be done about it.
