You could run this debate for the next 100 years but it would make no difference as there are a very small amount of shooters who will always call a splitter thinking it was a clean kill, I would think that the targets on a coarse would have been proved working or faulty within the first 2 or 3 groups max,( so 10 to 15 mins ) and would be very rare ( but not imposible ) to fail after this time, so if you miss thinking I am 99% certain I hit the kill its a probable 99% chance you had a splitter.
But who knows? so on we go not believing that we could possibly have missed that supported stander that we were rock steady on, Honest.
