Smile More...Weighing Pellets..!

After a couple of recent threads I decided to revisit the weighing of pellets.

Currently I am using JSB Exact Express 0.51 grams (7.9 grains..?? my scales say 7.8 grains)
Batch # 36004910 4.52mm

So.... after some hours of weighing two tins of 500 (1000 pellets)
I ended up with three weight variations
  • 0.50 grams - 131 pellets - 13.1%
  • 0.51 grams - 750 pellets - 75 %
  • 0.52 grams - 119 pellets - 11.9%

I then went to the range and used these weighed pellets at
  • 30 yards - my zero
  • 55 yards

At either distance I had no discernible POI shift with any of the three weights.

With this batch I don't need to weigh them, use them straight from the tin.

When I get a new batch I will probably sample two tins,
to see if there is any large weight variation.
There is nothing impossible to those who will try!
