I think as an aircraft engineer i know what 45 degrees i've spoken with Gary Cooper on this a few years ago during a shoot as he had made a huge chart showing where to aim at certain angles of elevation. We had a discussion as i said i was sure my aim points didn't alter that much at the angles he was talking about.

I tested it then and repeated it 6 months ago to find that at approx 45 degrees and 35 yards the POI changed for my set up by around 5 to 7mm (just over a pellet mark). Don't forget i'm not shooting a FT rig with raiser blocks.
