Interesting post I have down loaded the calculator for fun.
However, if you consider a 55yd target about 11.25yd high, which is higher than the roof ridge of the average house, you only need to take a yard of your elevation. In practical terms targets are never even this steep unless the course setter has a cherry picker!

If you put a target at the height of most ladders say 4 yards, out at 16 yards, according to this calculator you shoot it at 15.7 yards. Unlikely to cause a miss, unless you have a 6" high scope line!
