Default Round 3 of the Troops Trophy at Tawd Vale 13th February 2011.

Round 3 of the Troops Trophy will be held at Tawd Vales shooting ground near Skelmersdale Lancs on the 13th February 2011. This competition as been an outstanding success so far raising in excess of 1800 to fund Morale Parcels to our front line troops in Afghanistan. We have already sent over 220 more parcels siince the first round with more going at regular periods. Thanks to the funds raised our troops now make requests for anything that they want and happily we are now in a position to oblige. Troops asking for things like Marmite, Filter Coffee, Rice Cakes, Crackers, Choc Hob Nobs, Yorkie bars etc. As you can see nothing outlandish, just the little things they miss while away from the UK. And we are only to happy to oblige.

With Tawd Vale being one of the better known and long established national venues and having two of the widely acknowledged BEST course setters amongst their member ship the excellent and talented Dave Benyon and his BIG WOOLYBACK sidekick Jeff Watkinson . Cheeky sod thinks he's a Scouser . A good course is more or less assured with those two around. Catering and toilet facilities are on offer as would be expected. There will be two sessions to shoot the course. This should be an excellent day out for all who attend and all funds raised will go into morale parcels for British troops now on tours of Afghanistan.

Myself and Sir Clifford will be running a raffle at Tawd Vales round 3 of the Troops Trophy to help raise more funds, I'm sure the Tawd Vale lads would like a chance of coming anywhere near equalling the fantastic ammount we raised during round 1 last November at Fort, so we thought we'd help out . We already have a few prizes lined up but if anyone has anything they would like to add as a prize for this raffle to help us out, it would be greatly appreciated.

Lets just hope the weather is better than the monsoon at Rivi.
